Starkey returned to Cairo for the second hearing mission trip to Egypt in two years. Minnesota Timberwolves team owner Glen Taylor, wife Becky and family, in partnership with a network of distributors from Starkey Canada and the Starkey Hearing Foundation, worked together to distribute hearing instruments to children and adults of Cairo during the hearing mission. The Egyptian Ministry of Health identified the people in need to be fit with 6,000 hearing instruments on this year’s mission.

Number of hearing instruments distributed: 3000

Sponsor: Becky and Glen Taylor, Starkey Canada Distributors

“It’s a very humbling experience to go on a trip like this and see the incredible need that exists in the world,” said Taylor. “But it’s also very rewarding to know that we helped people hear, many for the first time ever.” On hand to assist Bill Austin, founder of Starkey Hearing Foundation, were Glen Taylor and his wife Becky, many family members, as well as Starkey Canada distributors.
