Comprehensive Wellness Checks
Our customized and comprehensive wellness check is a quick and simple way to check the functioning of your overall hearing system. These 15-minute appointments involve otoscopy (a visual inspection of the ear canal and tympanic membrane) and any of the following measures that may be advised based on otoscopy results and pertinent intake questions:
– Cerumen Management: removal of wax from the ear canal using curettes and suctioning
– Tympanometry: an objective test to check for fluid buildup behind the eardrum
– Acoustic Reflexes: an objective test to assess nerve function and middle ear status
– Otoacoustic Emissions: an objective screening test used to assess the health of the hearing organ
